Extra Curriculum

At Jam Kangaroo we believe in offering our children the widest range of experiences we can. From organising forest school activities to inviting external professional to teach and inspire each of the age groups, we aim to stretch the potential of each child.

Drama Lessons

Children over two can also take drama lessons from Petite Acting Academy, an innovative performing and creative arts drama school. They use a programme of action, songs, puppets, basic drama and movement skills to help children focus on creativity, build confidence and develop acting skills.

French Lessons

Pre-School children can choose to take French lesson taught by a qualified French Teacher, who also teaches at the local primary schools.

Multicultural Festivals

Throughout the year, children are also actively involved in special nursery events such as the Christmas play, Chinese New Year celebration, Easter Bonnet Parade and Divali in order to promote understanding of diverse cultures and religious celebrations.

Joining your children

All the children participate in our Christmas Play. Parents are invited to this event held over at the Sports & Social Club opposite the nursery. This is an opportunity for children to build their self-confidence and show off their skills in expressive arts - making music, singing, dancing or acting.

We also organise Mother’s Day Tea, where mothers can enjoy a hot drink and cupcake and receive a gift, both of which are made by the children. Parents are also involved in other charitable events throughout the year, e.g. Children In Need, Red Nose Day or Operation Christmas Child.

Nursery Outings

Children often go on nursery outings to extend and enhance their learning experiences, ranging from the local park, library, police station, fire station and post office to pre-school trips to Brandon Marsh Nature Reserve, Museums and Warwick Castle.

During these nursery outings, we increase the adult to child ratios and invite parents to join in if they are free.
