Events and Activities
At Jam Kangaroo we believe in offering our children the widest range of experiences we can. From organising forest school activities to inviting external professional to teach and inspire each of the age groups, we aim to stretch the potential of each child.
Each year we celebrate Christmas by getting all the children to take part in a Christmas play.
Two more successful trips out for our pre-schoolers. The first was to Branson Marsh where the children explored the nature reserve, collected flowers and leaves, built dens and shared a picnic. Later in the year, to build the christmas spirits, we spent the day at Warwick Castle to learn how a medieval Christmas was celebrated.
In September, the Tweenies and Pre-Schoolers visited the police station, fire-station and dentist. One of our parents who is a policeman even volunteered his time to come talk to our pre-schoolers about different kinds of police work, which encourages children to approach police for help if they ever needed to. The children had enjoyed sitting in the police car, fire engine and dental chair, as well as spraying water from the water hose connected to the fire engine. It was an unforgettable experience!
We were invited to St Mary's School to join their forest school session. The children enjoyed themselves making models of forest animals and learning about the nature around them. They were also taught how to light a fire, make magic potions and clay goblins and to hunt for pond creatures.
A big thank you to all the mums who turned up to support our Mother's Day tea party. Fun was had by all, adding another days of memories to our Jam Kangaroo calendar.
We traveled back in time to the medieval fortress of Kenilworth Castle. The children toured the castle ruins and played in their extensive gardens.
